Where now the horse and the rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
Where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing?
Where is the hand on the harpstring, and the red fire glowing?
Where is the spring and the harvest and the tall corn growing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;
The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow.
—Aragorn, The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien
A Long-extended Party is pleased to present Blood in the Isen, the sixth and final adventure pack in Oaths of the Rohirrim, a cycle of free, community-created expansions for our beloved card game.
With Lord Ealdwulf massing his partisans along the banks of the River Isen, he is joined by Grimrede, warchief of Dunland. As the heroes advance on his position, they have one chance to prevent all-out war – a war which will cause untold suffering, and forever scar the land of Rohan.

Should you seek to defeat Grimrede and Ealdwulf, you will encounter stiff resistance in the form of warriors from the three clans of Dunland, as well as the traitor Rohirrim united in hatred for the reign of King Thengel and his marshals. It will be quite a task to navigate the river crossing under enemy fire, but you must move swiftly to defeat the warmongers!
The Lady of Exiles

In times of dire need, the lady Gilraen has emerged from the wilds to supply the cause with much-needed willpower. Sporting a flexible statline and a powerful suite of abilities, the mother of Aragorn can function as a “do it all” quester or defender in any deck, or harness her inner strength to inspire her fellow Dunedain with a whopping +4 willpower spread across two other heroes.
With an additional ability to take calculated risks in combat, Gilraen can risk her dependable defense against the promise of a steady stream of extra card draw. Wielding her son’s ancestral gem, she can press even further in search of safe haven for her kin.
Speaking of Gilraen’s son, ALeP is proud to share the final hero of the Oaths of the Rohirrim cycle.
Renowned Under Many Names

After appearing in the narrative for Ambush at Erelas (go check if you don’t believe us!) Aragorn has returned to his allies in their time of need. With the ultimate versatile statline and the ability to tap into any of the four resource spheres, the son of Arathorn can be whatever he needs to be: whether playing with beloved Title cards from previous expansions, or any of the four titles newly available in this pack. With the fate of Rohan at hazard, the heir to the realm of Men shall ride out at last!
A New Chapter Begins
With the release of Blood in the Isen, the Oaths of the Rohirrim cycle is complete. The story has been told of two traitors: Gálmód and Ealdwulf. Of princes and murderers, of a wraith-king and of inherited curses of war, violence, and greed. The makers of A Long-extended Party have embraced characters with identities different from what the game has seen before, including the first female leadership heroes in Gaeronel and Rowan, the first female Beornings in Osbera and Birna, and the first canonically queer characters in Rowan and Osbera. The team is also proud of the ways in which we have advanced a variety of player archetypes in new directions, as well as refined the card-pool in order to support fan-favorites like Rohan and the Noldor.
Although Oaths of the Rohirrim has come to a close, ALeP does not sleep. More is to come. Beware the Burned Wolf.
