“According to their own tales they were the original inhabitants and were the descendants of the first Men that ever wandered into the West of the middle-world. Few had survived the turmoil of the Elder Days; but when the Kings returned again over the Great Sea they had found the Bree-men still there, and they were still there now, when the memory of the old Kings had faded into the grass.” — The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Gap of Rohan Adventure Pack is now available from A Long-extended Party!
A Long-extended Party is pleased to present The Gap of Rohan, the third adventure pack in Oaths of the Rohirrim, a cycle of free, community-created expansions for our beloved card game.
After rescuing the noble steeds of Rohan from capture and destruction, you resume your search for the ever-elusive Rohirric traitor Gálmód. Rumor has it he intends to escape through the Gap of Rohan to Dunland. But the weather in the White Mountains is not to be underestimated.
The Gap of Rohan introduces an original new scenario, which forces you to balance pursuing the treacherous Gálmód with staying alive in the biting wind and snow of the Ered Nimrais. Will you brave the bone-chilling cold and capture your quarry, or will you run out of time and freeze to death, only a heroic memory in the minds of those you have saved?
In addition to an exciting quest, The Gap of Rohan introduces three new heroes and ten new player cards to add to your collection. Taking inspiration from the passive nature of the townsfolk of Bree and the surrounding lands, many of the new Bree player cards help keep the other characters alive and healthy without taking much of an active part themselves. The tavern keeper of Bree, Barliman Butterbur, is ready to serve the the heroes of Middle-Earth along with his servant Nob and the keeper of the western gate, Harry Goatleaf. All of these new player cards provide a unique new archetype to experiment with.
The Gap of Rohan is available now as a free print and play expansion, available to download below. Prefer to play digitally?
