The ring is destroyed. But even with Sauron vanquished, evil is not easily scrubbed from this world, nor are all wounds mended overnight. As our heroes venture homeward after a successful campaign, they have one final challenge to meet.
The pleasant green lands of the Shire have met with ill fortune since we left it. An elusive brute called Sharkey has summoned up a force of ruffians and conscripted Shirriffs, throwing the land of hobbits into turmoil. It is only by strength of fellowship, willpower, and community that the heroes may rise to the occasion, unite the people of the Shire, and put an end at last to the War of the Ring.

Complete with additional boons and a thrilling quest, The Scouring of the Shire will serve as the capstone of a LoTR campaign, and bring a sense of closure to the adventures of Frodo and his company.
