“Then even the defeat of Rohan will be glorious in song,’ said Aragorn. The armed men that stood near clashed their weapons, crying: ‘The Lord of the Mark will ride! Forth Eorlingas!”
— The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Children of Eorl Deluxe Expansion is now available from A Long-extended Party!
A Long-extended Party is pleased to present Children of Eorl, the free, fan-made expansion for the beloved card game.
As the honour guard entrusted with the protection of the queen of Rohan, you have begun the long journey back to Edoras. However, dire warnings from a traveler signal a looming threat. As you approach the encampment below the beacon hill of Erelas, you are attacked from the shadows by mysterious brigands. So begins the Oaths of the Rohirrim cycle, which will see you adventuring across the green hills of Rohan, amid the streets of its cities, to grim battles and bitter intrigues.
Children of Eorl introduces three thrilling scenarios. Repel the brigands in Ambush at Erelas, protect a critical hilltop beacon in The Battle for the Beacon, and intercept a rampaging band of orcish horse-thieves before they make off with their prize in The Horse Lord’s Ire.
To aid you in your quest, Children of Eorl introduces 4 new heroes, each “mighty men of arms,” in addition to 16 player cards (3 copies each) and 1 contract to expand your deckbuilding opportunities. Harness the strength of Rohan, the cunning of Ithilien, and the courage of the Gondorian army with the new Devoted keyword, which allows you to play certain allies without a resource match!
You may even find a familiar face in the hero Celador, ranger of Ithilien, as he springs a long-awaited trap!

Children of Eorl is available now as a free print and play expansion, available to download below. Prefer to play digitally? This expansion, and all future ALeP content, is available to play on both DragnCards and Tabletop Simulator. Looking for a more professional, third party print job? Unfortunately MBPrint does not currently offer this feature. If it ever becomes an option we will definitely do this.

The cards are not in flux. The “last modified” is just a timestamp of when you added them to your cart.

Children of Eorl is supposed to be a “deluxe box” to be accompanied by 6 further adventure packs. Do you have any estimates on when are those packs going to be available?

Same question — For the moment, the custom printing options I'm looking at are not within budget, but you obviously save a lot “per card” if you're printing more at a time. I'm thinking about waiting until a least a few more packs are released and then getting everything printed at once!

Our most optimistic release schedule at this point is an AP every 2 months.

Hi,thanks for your great effort into this beloved game. It looks really great. One question about MB print: you have instruction for pdf generation that BACK images must go before FRONT images. That creates PDF file where BACK image is before FRONT image. But MP print has instructions on their site “Prepare the cards as consecutive pages in the file alternately: card no 1 obverse, card no 1 reverse, card no 2 obverse, card no 2 reverse, card no 3 obverse, etc.” … Can you someone confirm what is correct order? Thanks.

Hi – brilliant work, team. Got a set from MBPrint, and am thoroughly enjoying scenario one. One comment for general consideration – 250 gm cards are a bit skinny. I may switch to 350, but be aware of the caveat on quality if you do the same.

For the uninitiated, how do we go about having these cards printed? Is there a website that I need to go to or do I have to save, open, and import files to a printing website?
